Wat Borom Puttharam is a restored late-Ayutthaya temple ruin associated with the reign of King Phetracha. Historical studies describe a monastic complex arranged around an ordination hall, assembly hall and principal chedis. Surviving brick structures and archaeological evidence provide a quieter view of the capital’s later architectural period.
Visitors to Wat Borom Puttharam should expect an exposed archaeological site rather than a fully furnished active temple. Uneven ground calls for secure footwear, and heat makes water and sun protection important. Old walls, stucco and reconstructed elements must not be climbed or touched. The ruin can be included with other sites in central Ayutthaya, but current access and conservation restrictions should be respected.
