Tadiandamol Peak rises to about 1,748 metres in Karnataka's Kodagu district and is the highest summit in Coorg. Its trail crosses plantation country, grass-covered slopes and sections of shola forest, opening to broad Western Ghats views in clear weather. The route is a popular day hike and is commonly approached from the Nalknad Palace side near Kakkabe.
The full outing requires a reasonable level of fitness even though much of the gradient is gradual. Rain and mist can make the trail slippery and obscure landmarks, while exposed upper slopes offer little shelter. Camping is not permitted, so hikers should start early enough to descend before sunset and carry water, food, rain protection and suitable footwear. Rules, checkpoints and permitted trail sections can change for forest protection or weather safety. Confirm the current route and any registration or guide requirement with local authorities before the hike. Do not leave litter, avoid shortcuts that damage vegetation and turn back promptly if visibility or storms deteriorate.
