Mosholu Golf Course is a 9-hole, par-32 public golf course located in the Bronx, New York City. It is one of the oldest public golf courses in the United States, having been built in 1914. The course was designed by architect John Van Kleek and has been renovated in recent years by golf course architects Stephen Kay and Doug Smith.
The course features a 10,000-square-foot putting and chipping green, and there are plans to add a 50-bay driving range and a large clubhouse in the future. Mosholu Golf Course is also home to a First Tee – Metropolitan New York campus.
The course is open to the public and offers a variety of rates and tee times. NYC residents with a valid permit can play at a discounted rate. The course is located at 3545 Jerome Ave, The Bronx, New York, NY 10467. It can be reached by subway (No. 4 to the last stop, Woodlawn Road).
Mosholu Golf Course has received several accolades, including being named one of the Top 25 Short Courses in the U.S. by GolfPass in 2022 and 2021. It was also named one of the Top Courses in New York by GolfPass in 2020.
