Guru Shikhar: A Peak with Heavenly Views
Nestled in the Aravalli Range, Guru Shikhar, which translates to "peak of the guru," is the crown jewel of Mount Abu, Rajasthan. Standing tall at 1,722 meters (5,650 feet), it's not just the highest point in Mount Abu, but also in all of Rajasthan and western India.
The journey to Guru Shikhar itself is a delightful experience. A well-maintained scenic road winds its way up from Mount Abu, taking you 15 kilometers to near the peak. From there, a climb of around 300 steps rewards you with a truly magnificent sight.
