Experimenter Art Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was co-founded by Priyanka and Prateek Raja in 2009. The gallery represents several important artists in the contemporary art scene from across the globe and functions as an incubator for contemporary art practices across various disciplines and media.
Experimenter has two gallery spaces: one on Hindustan Road, established in 2009, and another on Ballygunge Place, launched in 2018. Both spaces showcase diverse contemporary art, fostering dialogue and exploring new boundaries.
The gallery is known for its multidisciplinary approach, organizing exhibitions, talks, performances, workshops, and the Experimenter Curators' Hub. It exhibits art that is representative of the current times and presents works of artists who are constantly challenging the boundaries of visual art.
Experimenter is considered a "pace-setter" for its region and extends its reach beyond exhibition-making to knowledge creation through regular talks, performances, workshops, and the much-acclaimed annual curatorial intensive – Experimenter Curators' Hub.
