The Dadan Hills are a group of hills located in Goalpara, Assam, India. It's a popular pilgrimage and tourist spot known for the Shiva temple located on its peak.
According to a legend, Dadan, a general of King Bana of Sonitpur, was a devotee of Lord Shiva. A wild elephant used to disturb him during his meditation, so he killed the elephant. The legend says the petrified form of the elephant can still be seen on the banks of the Dariduri River. Dadan established the Shiva temple on the top of the hill.
