The Blackbuck National Park, also known as Velavadar Blackbuck National Park, is a national park situated in the Bhavnagar district of Gujarat, India. Established in 1976, it's known for its large herds of blackbuck, an antelope species with long, spiraling horns.
The park is a short drive from Bhavnagar city, around 42 kilometers away. It encompasses an area of about 34 square kilometers and consists mainly of grasslands stretching between two seasonal rivers. These grasslands were once a hunting ground for the Maharaja of Bhavnagar who used hunting cheetahs to catch blackbucks.
