The AMUL Co-operative Museum, also known as Dr. Kurien's Museum, is located in Anand, Gujarat, India. It's a great place to learn about the history of Amul, one of India's most famous dairy cooperatives, and the man behind it, Dr. Verghese Kurien, also known as the "Father of the White Revolution" in India.
The museum is open from 2 pm to 4 pm on all days of the week. It showcases the Amul cooperative movement through the years, with a gallery featuring floor-to-ceiling images and an audiovisual show (in Hindi) that chronicles Amul's journey.
The museum also houses a 100-seat auditorium that showcases movies on the history and evolution of the milk industry in India. It's a great way to understand the challenges faced by Amul and the innovative solutions they came up with to become a world-leader in milk production.
